General information

The summer school “Wine, Terroir, Tourism” introduces participants to the culture of wine and winemaking and explores the different synergies that exist with the field of tourism. Based at the University of Lausanne’s Sion campus, in the heart of the Valais winemaking region, it will use local case studies to illustrate the wider global issue of linking the winemaking and tourism industries.

Accommodation

You will be staying at Sion Youth Hostel, situated two minutes south of the city’s railway station. Dormitories, as well as a few individual rooms, are available for booking (on a first come, first served basis). Accommodation fees vary from CHF 35 to 57 per night (breakfast included).
