General information

The Lausanne Summer School “Transitional Justice and Conflict Transformation” brings together young researchers from around the world whose PhD-work tackles the difficult problem of how legacies of violence and injustice are addressed during societal transitions and beyond. The school promotes multi-disciplinary perspectives on transitional justice, collective memory, dealing with the past and conflict transformation. It combines lectures given by internationally renowned experts with educational visits, manuscript discussions and project work.

Accommodation

Student Housing FSLE

Students housing (halfway between downtown and the university campus) have been pre-booked for interested participants as well. Please note that this is optional, and that the participant will be housed in a student accommodation, with current tenants.

Rooms can be booked while submitting your online application. The conditions are the following:

CHF 450.- per person for a 2-week reservation;
The participant will have a private room in a shared apartment, with a bed (bed linen included), a closet and a desk;
Bathroom, kitchen and communal room have to be shared;
The apartments have a wifi connection;
Breakfast in not included;
Participants are responsible for the tidiness of the common area and their room.

The price includes a stay from 5 to 19 July 2020.
