General information

The “Transdisciplinary Nature Conservation: the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species from evaluation to practice” course is designed for young biologists who would like to understand and use the IUCN Red List methodology to assess the risk of extinction of species as well as other species monitoring approaches and ecological niche modeling methodologies.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the fees, however, rooms have been prebooked at a special rate at the Youth Hostel Youth Hostel Lausanne Jeunotel. Rooms will be given on a “first come first serve” basis.

Buffet breakfast, bed linen, and transportation pass for Lausanne are included in the reservation. If you would like to book a room, please contact us.

Prices*:

Single room: from CHF 91.- per night
Room shared by two people : from CHF 59.- per person per night
Room shared by five people : from CHF 48.- per person per night
Taxes: CHF 2.90.- per person per night

Registration

Application is open until 1 June 2020.
During the online registration process, applicants are asked to provide a brief motivational statement  (2 pages, max), their CV, as well as a one-page abstract of thesis research. We would ask you to proceed to the payment of the tuition fees only after a formal confirmation of your participation has been sent your way. Applications will be reviewed at two different points in time:
