This module is intended to give you the opportunity, as an undergraduate student of Arts and Humanities or Social Sciences, to undertake specialist learning in media, gender and contemporary culture. While there are many post-graduate programmes in the UK and abroad which cater to this interest, for the majority of undergraduate students, access to this type of content is limited. This module will bridge the gap, offering you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and interest in this field. It takes an innovative and dynamic approach to the study of media, gender and contemporary culture, addressing some of the most pressing issues and critical debates in the field today. Taking full advantage of our location in central London, the class will visit many of the capital's foremost cultural institutes and students will have the opportunity to meet with insiders from the media and cultural industries..

This module will consist of a minimum of 45 contact hours with teaching taking place between 9 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday.
