General information

The course is dedicated to introducing Estonian culture. It gives an overview of the most important phenomena and processes of Estonian culture both from historical and contemporary perspective.

The topics that are discussed during the course include Estonian folklore and customs, Estonian literature, art and different aspects of Estonian contemporary culture. The course consists of lectures, seminars, independent work and excursions to various museums (Estonian Open Air Museum, KUMU). At the end of the course the students have acquired the basic overview about Estonian culture, its developments and the current situation.

Accommodation

Tallinn Summer School arranges accommodation for foreign participants at student dormitory (5-minutes walk from the university, double and triple rooms).
