The module will provide you with an understanding of the basic human anatomy and physiology, where your will learn the coupling of structure with function through a series of lectures, tutorials and practical sessions. The use of computer-assisted learning during tutorials will enable you to learn using virtual 3D representations taken from the Visible Human data set. Furthermore, the Anatomy & Physiology Online software will allow self-assessment in preparation for the final module examination. There will be two sessions in the dissection room to facilitate learning about the skeleton and the cardiovascular system. You will get an opportunity to augment your learning by exploring London's museums, including the Science Museum, the Hunterian Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Gordon Museum.

This module will consist of a minimum of 45 contact hours with teaching taking place between 9 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday.
