Eötvös Loránd University organizes the first ELTE Budapest Summer University, which is a two-week program offered to Hungarian and international students, in various study fields. Language of the summer university is English, no Hungarian is required.

ELTE is the highest ranked higher education institution in Hungary in the ARWU global university ranking since 2012, and alma mater of leading figures in technology, business, politics and public policy, and culture. As the leading research university in Hungary we are dedicated to develop wide-ranging study programs for Hungarian and international students, facilitating the international involvement and networking of teaching and research staff, and stimulating students efficiently to participate in mobility programs.

ELTE Budapest Summer University is a summer program to fulfil these aims and priorities building on the professional background of the researchers at our faculties.

The summer university comprises several interdisciplinary courses for students interested in law, cultural studies, special education, psychology, social sciences and related fields.

1. TRANSNATIONAL ASPECTS OF LAW (law studies)
2. SOCIAL PROBLEMS AND DISCRIMINATION - fieldwork (social sciences and cultural studies)

Course fee/ costs:

The course fee for one week: 300 EUR

Discounts:

Early bird discount: - 10%, 270 EUR until 31 May, 2017

Covered by fee: 30 classes (45-minute-long), 2 lectures (90-minute-long) on Hungarian culture, history and traditions, related course materials, welcome package, one-day excursion outside of Budapest;

Not included in the fee: travel and visa costs, health insurance, accommodation, meals, social activities and organised visits, personal expenses;

Accommodation

Budapest has many quality accomodation opportunities to choose from, which means that it’s not hard to find student rentals or share-apartments with other students.

Besides, any student can be accommodated in single or double rooms at an ELTE Student Residence Hall on demand. The average cost of accommodation is about EUR 350 - 400.

Accommodation requests of students need to be indicated on the application form.

Please, note that

 - classes can start only with the minimum number of 6 students
 - and the application is accepted only after the tuition fee has been transferred.

Deadline for application:

1.  30 June 2018 - for those who need visa to travel to Hungary (and countries of the European Union) We are going to send you a Letter of Acceptance to support your visa application.

To be aware of visa regulations, please check the official website of Consular Services of Hungarian Government or our university's information website.

2.  1 August 2018 - for those applicants who do not need to apply for a visa to travel to Hungary.
